Give to UCF's Academic Colleges

COLLEGE OF SCIENCES

Hurricane Irma took a devastating toll on incubating sea turtle nests in the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, one of the most important loggerhead and green turtle nesting sites in the world. With your support, the UCF Marine Turtle Research Group can continue it's rebuilding and conservation efforts along southern Brevard County.

Featured Fund

UCF's world-renowned Marine Turtle Research Group was instrumental in the founding of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge in Brevard County in 1991, and since its inception, the university has used the refuge as a base to monitor sea turtles and their nests 24 hours a day.

Now, a recent agreement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service allows UCF to establish a permanent conservation research facility at the refuge. Gifts to support marine turtle research help fund the work of the MRTG and construction of the new facility.
