Data Specialist

UCF Title: Information Specialist

Position Number: 38042

Open: 6-15-2018 until 6-28-2018                             

This role is responsible for researching and updating biographical and demographic information as identified from returned mail, business cards, development officers, alumni event contact forms and other sources.  Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.  Preferences: Should be able to process information independently.  Should be able to communicate effectively.  Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, and handle the pressure of deadlines.

 

Director, College Alumni Engagement

UCF Title: Director Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 39787

Open: 6-1-2018 until filled                             

The Director of College Alumni Engagement provides leadership and management of UCF Alumni college alumni engagement officers embedded in the college units and directs the officers in the development and execution of events and programs that support alumni engagement and giving.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a superb editor, with demonstrated service orientation and diplomacy; the ability to multi-task; be highly organized and detail-oriented, effective organizational and time management skills; an independent worker with adept problem-solving and project management skills, a strategic and critical thinker; able to build and foster relationships, and have an enthusiastic and energetic attitude. Effectively able to report to two supervisors (dual reporting). Applicant should be familiar with Microsoft Office and have a high level of comfort with technology. Demonstrated experience in working with databases, websites, and social media. Prior event planning and/or volunteer management experience preferred; prior alumni relations experience is a plus. Ability to work nights and weekends and limited travel, as necessary.

 

Associate Director of Development, College of Engineering and Computer Science

UCF Title: Associate Director, Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 32668

Open: 4-13-2018 until filled              

Develops and implements yearly strategic fundraising plans in collaboration with the executive director of development at the college.  Responsible for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and professional groups in support of strategic program priorities as established for the college or unit.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Ability to effectively communicate, handle multiple priorities, and handle the pressure of deadlines.  Should be able to work frequent evenings weekends.  Ability to meet deadlines as established.  

 

Associate Director for Advancement, College of Sciences

UCF Title: Associate Director, Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 39394

Open: 4-27-2018 until filled              

Develops and implements yearly strategic fundraising plan for each assignment in collaboration with the College of Sciences Senior Director for Advancement.  Manages a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects ($25,000 +), conducting appropriate identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities for annual and major gifts primarily for the College of Sciences and University of Central Florida.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Ability to travel around state of Florida and US as necessary to accomplish goals.

 Ability to work independently; ability to work as part of a team; determine priorities; and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.  Excellent interpersonal and oral communications skills, and demonstrated effective writing, and editorial skills. Able to work with communication teams to develop effective donor and program stories to support UCF philanthropy.  Ability and comfort working in an environment that puts strong emphasis on metrics and success.

 

Associate Director, Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, College of Engineering and Computer Science

UCF Title: Associate Director, Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Supports UCF Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, by developing and executing events and programs that also support the College of Engineering and Computer Science through a regional, college-based and constituent chapters and clubs program. This role develops and implements yearly strategic fundraising plan for each assignment in collaboration with the College Development Officer and will conduct appropriate identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities for gifts primarily for the College and University of Central Florida.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Ability to effectively communicate, handle multiple priorities, and handle the pressure of deadlines.  Should be able to work frequent evenings weekends.  Ability to meet deadlines as established.  The ability to build and maintain relationships with alumni worldwide to expand UCF’s professional network and help alumni develop and leverage networks over a lifetime.  The ability to recruit and convene prominent alumni and internal and external stakeholders to speak at events to advance UCF’s mission of being America’s Partnership University.

 

Senior Philanthropic Advisor, UCF Downtown

UCF Title: Director Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 39989

Open: 2-16-2018 until filled                             

Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for Advancement, this position is responsible for fundraising initiatives for the UCF Downtown Campus – Phase II and beyond and special projects in the Advancement division as required. This position will have dotted line reporting to the Vice Provost for UCF Downtown.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Self-starter; ability to build deep and lasting relationships; extensive fundraising experience and proven track record in closing major and principal gifts.

 

Director for Advancement, Regional & University-Wide Initiatives

UCF Title: Director Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 39159

Open: 12-1-2017 until filled                             

Responsible for the discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects at the $25,000+ level or higher. This position will represent the entire range of University needs and priorities and will maintain a portfolio of prospects and donors with multiple special philanthropic interests or in assigned geographic regions. The incumbent will develop and implement a yearly strategic fundraising plan for each assignment with a goal of actively moving prospects forward in the giving process.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Some regional and national travel/overnight travel.  Excellent interpersonal skills of active listening, conflict resolution, and leadership.  Demonstrates decisiveness and sound judgment in decision making and use of University resources.
