Coordinator, Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving

UCF Title: Coordinator, Administrative Services

Position Number: 39399

Open: 2-15-2019 until filled              

Responsible for the administration and coordination of members of the Alumni Engagement and Alumni Giving staff including project management, organization, communication and operations that assist the advancement team in meeting its goals. This position reports to the Sr. Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving providing personalized secretarial and administrative support. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex organization. Flexibility to adjust to pressing needs as they develop. Flexibility in work hours to accommodate some evening and weekend events and occasional general overtime.

  

Director, Donor Relations

UCF Title: Director, Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 38569

Responsible for planning, implementing and promoting a division-wide culture of gratitude through a comprehensive, strategic program based on the four pillars of donor relations: gift acknowledgment, gift stewardship, donor recognition and donor engagement, to further UCF Advancement’s fundraising goals. This role manages the donor relations program for the university in support of fundraising objectives and projects, stewards the commitments made by donors, and is responsible for the department budget. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Ability to compose professional level correspondence and meet deadlines with excellent proofreading skills and command of language, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Collaborative approach to working in a team-oriented environment that is committed to reaching goals. Strong computers essential, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience working with database information. Great interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone and in person. Should be able to supervise student workers, volunteers, and vendors to greatest efficiency and maximum potential. Demonstrated initiative and creativity. Technical literacy and comfort in understanding and creatively manipulating complex data.

 

Prospect Management Specialist

UCF Title: Coordinator, Advancement/Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 39965

As a member of the prospect development team, the Prospect Management Specialist is responsible for the effective management, measurement, and analysis of the movement of prospects through the fundraising cycle. This team member works closely with advancement staff to provide strategic insights into prospect and portfolio management in order to build and maintain constituent relationships, and plays a role in the overall success of UCF’s advancement enterprise. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, the technology tools available to UCF Advancement, including Blackbaud’s CRM database, Tableau, a Microsoft Windows computer environment, and the Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).  Should have a sense of initiative and inquisitiveness, be a strategic and creative thinker with excellent prioritization, critical thinking, problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a strong ability to edit documents for formatting, spelling, grammar, and sentence structure errors.

 

Coordinator, Alumni Engagement

Coordinates the overall organizational needs of the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement and supports the Alumni Engagement Team through administrative tasks. Maintains a complex calendar for the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement and the Director of College Alumni Engagement which includes planning meetings, donor visits, internal and external meetings and events. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex organization. Flexibility to adjust to pressing needs as they develop.  Associate Director, Regional Alumni Engagement

UCF Title: Associate Director, Advancement & Alumni Affairs

The Associate Director of Regional Alumni Engagement manages and directs UCF Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving initiatives that increase alumni engagement through a regional-based alumni program.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and should be a superb editor with demonstrated service orientation and diplomacy; the ability to multi-task; be highly organized and detail-oriented, have effective organizational and time management skills; be an independent worker with adept problem-solving and project management skills, a strategic and critical thinker; and have an enthusiastic and energetic attitude. Able to foster relationships and build rapport.  Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office and have a high level of comfort with technology.  Candidate should have demonstrated experience working with databases, websites and social media.  Prior event experience preferred; prior alumni relations experience is a plus. Ability to work nights, weekends and frequent travel as required.

 

Associate Director, Alumni Professional Engagement

UCF Title: Associate Director, Advancement & Alumni Affairs

The Associate Director for Alumni Professional Engagement provides leadership and management for Advancement’s alumni professional engagement efforts, offering a comprehensive and innovative suite of services and programs that support individual and group counseling, in-person and virtual professional development, networking and mentoring opportunities and lifelong learning events.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Ability to effectively communicate, handle multiple priorities, and handle the pressure of deadlines.  Should be able to work frequent evenings weekends.  Ability to meet deadlines as established.  The ability to build and maintain relationships with alumni worldwide to expand UCF’s professional network and help alumni develop and leverage networks over a lifetime.  The ability to recruit and convene prominent alumni and internal and external stakeholders to speak at events to advance UCF’s mission of being America’s Partnership University.
