Help First-generation Students at UCF

Giving to First-Generation Scholarships

First generation students — those who are the first in their families to attend college — face a variety of challenges that others don't. At the same time, much more is riding on their success, since it has the power to positively influence others in their families who can in turn serve as role models, creating a powerful ripple effect. For every dollar you give to help fund scholarships for first-generation students the state of Florida will match 2:1 through its First Generation Matching Grant Program, increasing the positive impact you can create.

The Promise of a Future Yet to Be Discovered

Create unprecedented access for deserving students and help them realize their potential.

Those first in their families to go to college often lack the financial resources that help them take that first step. Currently 25 percent of UCF undergraduates are first generation students, roughly 15,000 students that need our help.

Giving opportunities include making a current use annual gift, establishing a named endowed first generation scholarship fund, or adding to an existing first generation endowment. All leverage the power of philanthropy through the First Generation Matching Grant.
