Director for Advancement, College of Business Administration

UCF Title: Director Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 39098

Develops and implements yearly strategic fundraising plan in collaboration with the executive director of development at the college. Identifies, cultivates and solicits major gifts in support of strategic programs priorities for the college/unit within the context of the IGNITE campaign.  Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a superb editor, with demonstrated service orientation and diplomacy; the ability to multi-task; be highly organized and detail-oriented. Demonstrates decisiveness and sound judgment in decision making and use of University resources. Some regional and national travel/overnight travel is required; motivated, entrepreneurial, creative thinker who has the skills to work within a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Executive Director for Advancement, Colleges and Units

UCF Title: Director Advancement & Alumni Affairs

This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Advancement, Colleges and Units. The Executive Director for Advancement – Colleges and Units will assist in the leadership and management over Advancement college-based development officers, and will oversee the management and development of fundraising projects and programs. This role will also be responsible for independently performing identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship with a 35-50 prospect portfolio.  Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience.  Preferences: Superior written and oral communication, negotiating, organizational, analytical and fundraising skills, including the ability to interpret financial information and manage data. Excellent interpersonal skills to relate to donors, volunteers, colleagues and high-level university administrators.

Director of Development, University-Wide Initiatives

UCF Title: Director Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Position Number: 39967 & 39969

Responsible for the discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects at the $25,000+ level or higher. This position will represent the entire range of University needs and priorities and will maintain a portfolio of prospects and donors with multiple special philanthropic interests or in assigned geographic regions. The incumbent will develop and implement a yearly strategic fundraising plan for each assignment with a goal of actively moving prospects forward in the giving process.  Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience.  Preferences: Some regional and national travel/overnight travel is required. Excellent interpersonal skills of active listening, conflict resolution, and leadership. Demonstrates decisiveness and sound judgment in decision making and use of University resources.

Database Manager

UCF Title: Database Manager

Under the general supervision of the Division IT Manager, the Database Manager is responsible for maintenance and support of Advancement databases and related components including Blackbaud CRM, Blackbaud Financial Edge, and Microsoft SQL Server.  Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and five years of information technology experience.  Preferences: Ability to prioritize multiple demands and must be deadline-driven and detail-oriented with a vision to improve business practices and possess the drive to analyze and understand business needs and requirements from different business units.

Associate Director, Alumni Board Relations and Development

UCF Title: Associate Director Advancement & Alumni Affairs

The Associate Director for Alumni Board Relations and Development manages all aspects of the Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving board meetings including planning and organizing committee and full board meetings. Works with various members of the UCF Advancement team to coordinate all logistics for meetings and serves as backup to the UCF Foundation Board liaison. Contracts with vendors, invites guest speakers and coordinates the production and timely distribution of materials to board and committee members.  Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Able to work frequent evenings. Ability to meet deadlines as established. Ability to be cooperative and communicate effectively with a variety of people. High level of interpersonal and organizational skills essential.

Associate Director, Alumni Engagement Events

Responsible for developing and executing events and programs that support alumni engagement.  Works with UCF Advancement leadership to develop and execute programming that achieves annual and long-term strategic plan goals for alumni participation. Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Preferences: Frequent nights and weekends. Able to travel, attend and conduct meetings on and off campus, and make presentations before large and small groups.

 

      

      UCF Knight Line Student Callers

Do you enjoy talking to new people? Would you like to raise money for the university? We are looking for student callers to help raise funds for UCF. In a fun and supportive environment, students call alumni, parents and friends of the university and ask for donations. Students work two weekday shifts between Monday and Thursday from 5 - 8:45 p.m. and one Sunday shift, either 12:45 - 4:30 p.m. or 5:00 - 8:45 p.m.
