UCF Advancement Positions

 Associate Director, Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, College of Medicine      

UCF Title: Associate Director, Advancement & Alumni Affairs

Supports UCF Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, by developing and executing events and programs that also support the College of Medicine through a regional, college-based and constituent chapters and clubs program. This role develops and implements yearly strategic fundraising plan for each assignment in collaboration with the College Development Officer and will conduct appropriate identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities for gifts primarily for the College and University of Central Florida.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience.  Preferences: Prior event experience preferred; prior alumni relations experience is a plus. Ability to work nights, weekends and frequent travel as required.  Ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and should be a superb editor with demonstrated service orientation and diplomacy; the ability to multi-task; be highly organized and detail-oriented.

IT Business Analyst

Analyzes business needs by exploring relationships in collections of information and by holding discussions and requirements gathering sessions with other Advancement members in order to provide unified Business Intelligence solutions for stakeholders.  Evaluates, designs, builds, and maintains business intelligence solutions using tools such as SQL Server 2014, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Tableau.  Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year of information technology experience.  Preferences: Expertise with Windows operating systems, SQL Server 2014 and its BI tools, Tableau, Blackbaud fundraising software products, services, and SDKs, and Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Access, and Word.

Assistant Director, Annual Giving

Coordinates the development efforts including the management, administrative direction, coordination, and control of activities of young alumni, programming for former student athletes, acquisition programming and personal solicitation.  This position will also lead engagement and development efforts for Young Alumni and Varsity Knights.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.  Preferences: The ability to multi-task; be highly organized and detail-oriented, effective organizational and time management skills; an independent worker with adept problem-solving and project management skills; Knowledgeable with donor-based software; able to locally travel and present in small and large group settings and have an enthusiastic and energetic attitude.

Assistant Director, Budgeting and Reporting

Overseas and manages the foundation’s accounts payable, budget management and payroll reporting and recording functions.   This position will be responsible for ensuring that the foundation complies with federal, state, and university policies relating to expenditures and payroll. This includes annual IRS filings, payroll administration, state filings and reporting.  Review all expense related journal entries, invoice adjustments, credit memos, etc. and sign-off to be posted to accounting system.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.  Preferences: Have strong organization, prioritization, judgement, communication and problem solving skills. Conduct special studies and fiscal analysis and make recommendations. Recommend improvements in operations and new policies.

Coordinator, Gift Administration

This position will be responsible for managing the gift administration process for UCF Advancement.  He/She will manage UCF Advancement’s gift agreements, pledge commitments and gifts-in-kind and will work closely with development officers to write and assist in modifying gift agreements.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.  Preferences: Selected candidate will be well-organized, thorough and accurate in planning, preparation, and processing of work-related materials and activities. Requires ability to think strategically. Excellent social skills, with groups as well as with individuals, are required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication/writing skills required with proven ability to manage a variety of detailed projects simultaneously. Proven record of accuracy and attention to detail.

Coordinator, Prospect Development

The Coordinator of Prospect Development works closely with the Prospect Development staff to coordinate prospect identification and research efforts to assist in the movement of prospects through the fundraising cycle. The coordinator works closely with coordinated units to provide programmatic and administrative support. This position reports to the Director of Prospect Development.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.  Preferences: Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, the technology tools available to UCF Advancement, including The Raiser’s Edge and/or Blackbaud’s CRM, a Microsoft Windows computer environment, and the Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) required. Experience with Lexis-Nexis, Wealth Engine’s Find Wealth 8, iWave, Foundation Directory, Hoovers, Dun & Bradstreet, Guidestar and other on-line research databases are preferred. Knowledge of Advizor software a plus.

Accountant

UCF Title: Accountant

This position is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the accounts payable phase of the Foundation accounting system and internal control procedures. This includes vendor invoice processing, auditing, reconciling, coding, and approving payment requests. Provides accounting and clerical support of a highly confidential nature for the UCF Foundation, Inc., by performing accounting duties requiring independent decision-making, while operating within the boundaries of the policies and procedures established by the Foundation.  Minimum Qualifications:       

A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.  Preferences: Able to process information independently and communicate effectively.  Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, and handle the pressure of deadlines.

 

 

 

     UCF Knight Line Student Callers

Do you enjoy talking to new people? Would you like to raise money for the university? We are looking for student callers to help raise funds for UCF. In a fun and supportive environment, students call alumni, parents and friends of the university and ask for donations. Students work two weekday shifts between Monday and Thursday from 5 - 8:45 p.m. and one Sunday shift, either 12:45 - 4:30 p.m. or 5:00 - 8:45 p.m.
