Rachel Schaefer

Associate Vice President for Advancement Strategy and Chief Operating Officer

 

Rachel Schaefer is the Associate Vice President for Advancement Strategy and Chief Operating Officer at the UCF Foundation, Inc.

She is a seasoned advancement professional with nearly two decades of experience in both non-profit and for-profit environments. Schaefer joined the UCF Advancement team in 2013, and oversees the prospect development, board relations, records and gifts, information technology and human resources teams.

Prior to arriving at UCF, Schaefer was a consultant and director of research at BWF, the Foundation’s fundraising counsel. Her previous experience includes development roles with the University of Minnesota Foundation and the HealthEast Foundation (now Fairview Foundation).

Schaefer has an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from the University of Central Florida. She is a volunteer for Canine Companions for Independence, currently raising Cotton III, a black Labrador Retriever puppy.
